Women's Lacrosse

Women were first admitted to Lehigh University in 1971. Shortly after, women integrated themselves into campus by joining organizations and forming sports teams. By 1975, enough interest was raised to established Lehigh women’s lacrosse as a varsity sport. The team started strong with a record of 5-1 in their first season. In 1994 the women’s team won their first Patriot League Championship with a victory over long time rival, Lafayette. In 2014, Jill Redfern coaches women’s lacrosse and interest in the sport is growing.
