Only in the 2010s did Lehigh Men's Lacrosse regain national attention. The Mountain Hawks won the Patriot League Championship in 2012 and earned a spot in the NCAA lacrosse playoffs for the first time. After losing a heartbreaking game in the first round, the Mountain Hawks bounced back to win the Patriot League again in 2013, giving them their second opportunity to compete in the NCAA lacrosse playoffs. Under the leadership of head coach Kevin Cassese who started coaching the Mountain Hawks in 2007, Lehigh Lacrosse once again gained national recognition as a top tier lacrosse program.
