May Queen Festival

My biggest thrill in sixth grade was being elected May Queen. Sweet Memories!

These pictures feature Catherine Di Meglio (Catherine Ache), as May Queen. The photos were taken in 1948 at Central School. In the photo with the trellis, the background is the Liberty Firehouse Wall. The photo with Catherine leading the Parade as the May Queen features Central School in the background. Martel Street is the backdrop for the May Queen photo with the floral arrangements.
