Una Houston School of Dancing

Catherine Ache and her best friend, Jo-Anne Alfonso have many happy memories of Vine Street:

"There was a dance studio a few houses down from the Alfonso house on Vine Street where Jo-Anne and I both took tap and toe lessons, around 1945 and 1946 when we were 10 years old. The teacher's name was Una Houston and she had a son named Buster. Buster would peek at us through a hole in the wall while we were changing our clothes. Of course, that would tick us off at the time, but we laugh about it now."
