In 1962 Steel Field was sold to Moravian College for $150,000. Lehigh Athletics playing field shifted to the Saucon Valley Fields, which would later be named Goodman Campus.
Billy Christian took over coaching reigns in 1952 from Sheridan. At the time, Christian was also the coach of the swim team and the freshman baseball team.

J.H. Carpenter coached for Lehigh Men's Soccer from 1920-1940. In 1922 the team won the program's first title, when Lehigh beat Lafayette to win the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate League.
