Originally Homer Research Labs of Bethlehem Steel consisted of eight buildings on the mountain top site. Lehigh University acquired the first five buildings from Bethlehem Steel in 1986 to include Iacocca Hall, which currently houses the College of Education, the Wood Dining Room, Center for Chemical Process Modeling and Control, and the Emulsion Polymers Institute.
