In 1990 Lehigh entered the Patriot League and the success of Lehigh soccer developed from that point. In 1992 Dean Koski was hired as the head coach.
In 1978, Lehigh soccer placed 2nd in the East Coast Conference. By not winning the conference, Lehigh did not receive an invitation to the NCAA tournament.
Tom Fleck took over as coach in 1969. In 1971 the team won another Mid-Atlantic Conference championship and reached a national ranking as high as 14th in the country.
When most talk about the “Lehigh Lafayette Rivalry,” they are referring to the football game. Few know that the rivalry exists in more than in just the sport of football.
